    The gentlemen who wrote this letter bought something like this. In these spools, there is always two discs that are clear plastic, not to be used for data. I believe you can use them for separating the discs(such as to separate ones that have been burned from ones not), but honestly I’ve never understood what they are actually for.

    Can someone explain what they’re actual intended purpose is?

    RSIxidor: Oh that’s what they are. I knew what the plastic things were for, but in the picture they look like regular CD’s with white labels. Thanks for the explanation.

    one of them is for the bottom so the writable CD on the bottom doesn’t get’s scratched. but rsi definition could also be used.
