Spike Jonz? is making the movie. For the most part, all the monsters are animitronics, with only their faces being partial cgi to help add emotion to their faces. Early reviews of the movie are very positive, and the movie is said to have a very dark and adult feel to it. However, rumor had it that the studio wanted it to be more family friendly, so they have been doing reshoots and edits for the past year.
The nerve of Warner Brothers…some stories are best left in reading form, dammit
