    Now it makes sense.

    Why do we (spanish speaking folk) have to fuck up perfectly okay names? Ere Dos De Dos (R Two D Two) looks just how it sounds, fucking stupid.

    @Dreth: Don’t worry, we (english speaking folk) did the same fucking thing when Star Wars went expanded universe. Most of the novels refer to him as Artoo-Detoo.

    Afterthought: Perhaps this was to PREVENT people from finding his name limited by language basis and preemptively shoot down the hopes of anyone someday hoping to call him Eredosdedos.

      Missing something.

      R2 is a robot, the dark side has all the best electronics – logically, R2 would be seduced by them, instead of the fleshy organic hippy nonsense of the Jedis and the rebellion.

      (incidentally, he’s not called Eredosdedos in Spanish, I just added that because I thought it looked cooler than Artoo).
