Speaking of Mario Kart (on SNES) best Mario Kart ever? You decide!
March 3, 2009 at 6:22 pm
I have to lean towards the 64 version, the graphics were (could never get used to pseudo 3D on Snes)clearer and the tracks weren’t all flat.

Despite what people may say about it, I love Mario Kart Wii. And I have played all of them through the years (bar the GameBoy/ DS ones)
March 3, 2009 at 6:23 pm
But my favourite is probably the SNES one, for nostalgia reasons mostly

@Moe:
I certainly differ you with you there. I adore Dry Bones and Baby Peach.
@TunaFish:
I understand from my friend Chris they were awesome.

I prefer the N64 version as well… though I didn’t like that it cheated its little electronic heart out (e.g. computer players passing through solid objects to catch up). I think I destroyed more than one controller cuz of that bullshit.

The DS version is pretty sweet, but I haven’t played it for Wii. Oh, and Double Dash was awesome for co-op.

@Leonardo Da Nietzsche:
Careful. Someone could get hurt.

I had both the SNES and 64, and 64 wins. Better tracks & 4 player option. Mario Kart 64 & Goldeneye dominated my hours after football practice until I got my first car.

@Paul_Is_Drunk:
And then you played at a friend’s house?

This was one of the best on 64. The Wii version is quite shit IMO as the graphics haven’t improved.

Mario Kart ftw: this takes me back to the days when I was racing in the 150cc. Fun and challenging game.
March 3, 2009 at 9:39 pm
@Snarky Parker: Mario kart was anything but challenging…
March 3, 2009 at 9:48 pm
Mario Kart 64 was always my favorite.

Do you have a power-up button installed?

Either you’re full of it or…you’re a ultimate master video game playing expert who beats games on an average of 45 nanoseconds.
March 3, 2009 at 11:41 pm
@Snarky Parker: I’m just saying that mario kart is not a hard game…it’s like diddy kong racing…
March 3, 2009 at 11:57 pm
@RSIxidor: First thing I added on when I got my own car.
March 4, 2009 at 12:10 am
@SteamUserNotSet: Diddy Kong Racing is a blatant not so good ripoff that has an even more kiddy focus. Take that back!
March 4, 2009 at 12:16 am
@Puulaahi: Ok I take that back! lol. But at least diddy kong racing has airplanes!
But seriously, diddy kong racing is a kid game and mario kart is epic
March 4, 2009 at 1:46 am
@SteamUserNotSet: The airplanes were the only good part and the hovercrafts. Everything else sucked.

@RSIxidor: And then I played it with my 1986 Chevy Nova. Except replace bananas with beer bottles and blue shells with police cruisers. Ahhhh… childhood.
