The water is about 200 degrees Farenheit (38c). It would parboil you right quick.
Happened to a co-worker — his dog jumped in a pool at Yellowstone, and he waded in to rescue it. Not smart, and the dog died anyway. He was in the hospital for a couple weeks.
Ruined his vacation. 🙂

Actually it is the fountain of youth. The water blisters the age right out of the body in what top scientists suspect is a miracle.

The Grand Prismatic Spring at Yellowstone. You have to scramble up a hill to get that view- it’s HUGE. If you haven’t been to Yellowstone- GO.

My co-worker was the guy in the Update, from Washington state. The update says he was in the hospital overnight — probably correct, but he had bandages on and was in mega-pain for a couple weeks.
@...bawb: I can’t even imagine that pain. When I was little would go to the beach and make candles. Shape a hole in semi wet sand (make a mold), melt colored wax, pour it in the hole and wait for it to harden. One day, I was chasing our dog (terrier)around and stepped right into one of the holes that had very hot wax in it. I remember screaming and my dad picking me up and rushing me to the water. Of course that hurt even more at first. I ended up in the ER, but I was fine, just mostly 1st degree, w/ a little 2nd degree burns. I think I’ll always remember that pain. To this day it will hurt my right shin area if it’s in direct sunlight for too long (<10 minutes).
