      I had to double check, but Larry Hama is the guy who wrote & penciled Silent Interlude. That’s the infamous issue of GIJoe that has no text. First appearance of Storm Shadow. Snake Eyes rescuing Scarlett from Cobra HQ. Destro playing chess with figures based on people in the comic. I still have my issue in my attic.

      Apparently he did a bunch of other stuff, too. Such as inventing Bucky O’Hare.

      @frightfulfish:
      I’m not sure. I avidly dislike the Wolverine who is all kinds of hero to all people: invincible, tactical genius, master teacher, samurai, etc. I prefer him as the loose cannon high-strung berserker who is only partially kept in check by the very weak team lead cyclops whom everyone knows isn’t ready to lead but also suffers from the grand leader (Xavier) being the father-figure no one on the team ever had (think back to the classic first 100 issues of X-men or so). In those, Wolverine was a champion brawler, but could be duped. Would buck at being ordered around, but would suck it up to be there for his teammates. Go apeshit on the civilian messing with nightcrawler, but then give Kurt good advise about letting the hatred roll off his back. Every time they’ve tried to make Wolverine more complex they’ve just screwed up the formula.
