After using it for the better part of a year, I can't go back to XP; it just feels cludgy and unhelpful. The funny thing is, Vista had more under-the-hood improvements over XP than XP did over 2000, but there's a big group of people who never looked past the new paint job before declaring, "Durr... They renamed my icons! Worst. Operating System. Ever." I figure all the anti-Vista people can fall into a few different categories: You have the early adopters who got burned just like early adopters of everything do, yet for some reason haven't copped on to this fact. Then you have the folks who can't tell the difference between a hardware manufacturer writing a shitty driver and an actual flaw in the operating system. Lastly you have the fanboys, but they can be disregarded as a whole since including infantile minds in grown-up discussions is just silly. I'm not saying Vista is perfect, since clearly many people have had major problems, but for me it's worked flawlessly since they day I installed it. Maybe this is just another case of PEBCAK? I've had a few problems (like BF2 failing an install and requiring a manual uninstall) but that and most of the other problems have been due to it being a 64 bit OS in the first place, not it being vista necessarily.
