@Hendu: To a lesser extent of emotion I tend to agree you’re absolutely wrong, you may not like the following films but they are all honorable mentions to many Americans to mention just a few:
The original Italian job, Alfie, The Full Monty, A clockwork Orange, 28 days later, Shaun of the Dead, I think Snatch was British made too

I figured I’d find comments about the TX ren fair, or ren fairs in general, but to find this has turned into a discussion of how good/bad British movies are???? C’mon people!
BTW, Shaun of the Dead, The Full Montie, 28 Days Later, and A Clockwork Orange were all AWESOME movies!

Monty Python’s beautiful, of course.

Monty Python and The Holy Grail is the epitome of humor.I spit in your general direction if you think otherwise. NI!

I started going to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in 1979. There was a LOT more debauchery, and a LOT less commercialism in those days.
I stopped going in 2000, as it had become standardized and familiar to the point of meh…

@DisplacedTexan: img12.imageshack.us/img12/8819/montypythonfrenchcatvl9.jpg It’s horribly done and I have no idea where it came from.
@jediadept: Ditto. I used to go to the renfaire in Tuxedo NY in the early 80s and I’ve been to a few in Maryland and Virginia, but I’ve stopped also. They’re all the same now and goods are so overpriced it’s ridiculous.
