As for the person in the costume’s gender, the curve of the hips seems to indicate female. Not many men are shaped like that, even taking into account the possibility of padding in the chest area.

They went to the Sand Diego Comic Con. He was Captain Morgan of Captain Morgan’s Rum. She was in various costumes.
You guys should see her costume for Ivy from Soul Calibur.
