  1. Those are some oversized bees.

  2. Hello? Is anyone out there? . . . What have you done?

  3. Sweet ass-cheeks of Jesus!
    Christian-Metal!

Don’t let this come back from the dead, just don’t!

  4. @mndlssequation:
You know something, I can handle biting the heads off of bats; concerts where the band throws raw meat at the audience; lyrics about satan, cannibalism, beastialty; all this.
But Christ and heavy metal are strictly not to be mixed.
    Fuck.

  5. That was a really bad experiment and I would gladly choke the person who thought it was a good idea to create Christian metal. Their fans were even worse.

  6. @ack:
What about the polar opposite of Christian rock?

  7. Wait, no, it was aimed @ack:

  8. @Ben1605:
Ha! Good find, and yeah I did get a good laugh out of that one.
I still prefer my heavy metal without God at all.
BUT if I have to have God mixed with heavy metal at all – it will be this way.

  9. 3 of em look like girls.. ugly girls, and one like a shy trasvesty man… lol, just lol

  10. nah, better make it 2 girs and 2 fags… and again Lol, just LOL

  11. It’s KommissarKvC’s Favorite band!

  12. @mndlssequation:

Flyleaf and As I Lay Dying are not Christian bands, they just are made up of Christians. Other than that pretty accurate, though very little there was actually metal, so video seems a little irrelevant know doesn’t it? There were a lot more Christian hardcore/metalcore bands 5+ years ago. Zao (when started), Embodiment, Symphony in Peril (fuck yeah), Norma Jean (when they were still metal), Underoath (when they were fucking black/death metal), Living Sacrifice, Extol, Spitfire, Zao (I don’t think they consider themselves a Christian band anymore). A lot of those bands are still playing, and some of them don’t call themselves christian anymore (and may not have, then, either), and some of them aren’t metal anymore (not IMHO).

Honest to God, and someone here is going to hate me for this, but I don’t think the current metal scene that has developed from the combination of metalcore and black and death metal would exist if it weren’t for a lot of the bands I just listed.

My opinion on metal: If you’re going to use this to show or spread your beliefs, you better fucking believe them.

  13. The dark side to the 80′s. So scary! Never heard of them.

  14. not only did i own yellow vinyl of “calling on you” but i also had a cassette of Stryper singing “winter wonderland”.
both things that i know would make me pull out my eardrums now. but it was the 80s!

their fans held up signs that said 777. that’s the funniest thing, to me.

  15. AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

    *runs and hides*

  16. @RSIxidor:

My uncles band toured with UnderOath when they were still death/black metal.

You people would be really amazed at how many of these “satanic” and death metal guys are actually christian or agnostic. Black metal bands and a few death metal bands are the only ones who actually take it seriously. For instance Tom Araya from slayer is Catholic and Vince Matthews from Dying Fetus is baptist.

  17. Y’know these were wicked times, in which this style was totally acceptable and it gave you a shitload of cash.

  18. My brother had some of their tapes and I liked a few of their songs, back in the day. But, Petra is a much better example of “Christian rock.” I still listen to their stuff occasionally, when the urge hits me.

  19. I went to school with the bass player. He was something else.

  20. “To HELLLLL with the DEVIL!”
    ::headbangs::

  21. Why does it always seem like “hair bands” are just transvestites that are really really far in the closet?

  22. @Annarchy: Tell me about it. We have a guy comes in every few weeks, “Does Stryper have a new CD out?” It’s good to finally see the band that inspired one idiot to make his sole contribution to the outside world irritating me biweekly.

  23. …I’d like to go back in time and shoot their parents in the crotch with some sort of flamethrower/radiation/electricity gun. >:(

  24. Just came across this today and thought of Stryper:

“‘Christian Rock’ is neither.” -Hank Hill
