  1. …and so the Greek captain parted the red mountain.

THIS IS WHAT GREEKS ACTUALLY BELIEVE.

  2. Corintos Channel Previously known as The Hot Gates.

  4. @Putridity:

    …Madness? THIS IS CRUISE SHIP!!

  5. Narrow channel is NARROW…

  6. I must go to Greece! Look at that water. Wow!

  7. @Puulaahi: It is beautiful isn’t it…

  8. Imagine sleeping on that ship. Waking up, looking out your tiny window, expecting to see the ocean you were in the middle of when you went to bed… seeing this stone wall.. looks like it could take a while to get through there as well, so it would probably feel like “forever”, before they realized what was going on xD

  9. Just a little farther and they will be in position, Ready the Charges!

  10. @flyingcat88: Actually I think that would be cool… Being on a ship but seeing nothing but walls of rock passing by on either side…

  11. Puulaahi: That water is actually kind of dirty. You should see the clear ones.

  12. @Putridity: Thermopylae is the Hot Gates; it’s 150 miles away from Corinth.

  13. Greece always has fantastic weather..like florida.

  14. The engineer who designed this canal is Bela Gerster. The canal is 6.3 kms long, 22 m wide, and only 4m deep.

  15. @Anonymous: Designed? Rofl. Hey guys! Check it out! I designed a ditch!
