A few years ago I watch a bit of christian television programming that laid out the view that the reason a christian is christian is that God wants them to be so.
So after watching this whole program I look over to a christian friend of mine and say “see god doesn’t want me to be christian”
She was basically in a seizure over the arguments.

I think threads like that are important, I really do, but I guess it’s old hat to me. I am not a militant atheist… I’ve fought my personal battles, I’ve argued with Christians. Whatever. Just don’t: 1) impose your stupid beliefs on me, and 2) don’t impose your stupid beliefs on my kids – and I mean that on a personal level, not some grand societal thing.

Anywho, if this is not a parody: I’m glad this person is having a discussion about her beliefs and I hope she seeks alternate opinions as well. Sometimes, though, believers just want someone to say (as this person did) that everything is fine, just believe.

This is simple…just don’t listen to what the CATHOLICS tell you. They got it wrong.
Yes, you have to believe in God/Jesus but more so you must accept Jesus Christ as your personal saviour and that he died for your sins…and truley mean it Do that and you WILL NOT GO TO HELL. Plain and simple.
You should also follow what the Bible says but if you mess up you will still go to heaven but you will have to answer for your errors.
Again, don’t listen to the Catholics. Doing what some guys in Rome are telling you isn’t going to get you to heaven. It won’t hurt your chances but it’s not the entire ticket.
So, let me see if I got this right: don’t question, just believe. Blind faith is not only encouraged but necessary. Hmm…yeah, no thanks. I prefer to use the brain I have.
