this is exactly where all Mac products belong…in the shitter! b/c they are in fact, shit
January 2, 2009 at 9:12 am
So i can still take a shit in there?
January 2, 2009 at 9:19 am
@token2k6: Thank you for explaining the meaning of your joke.
I do not think I would have interpreted it this way.
January 2, 2009 at 9:24 am
Right… so macs are shit because they are sleek, have good interface, and don’t have viruses.

@LukeV1-5: i’m glad that helped. I just really wanted to get my point across.
Remember, if it wasn’t for Stevie and his iPod, DRM would have probably never came about and we would all still be downloading music however we wanted…and definitely be paying $1+ per track.
Also, lets not forget that Mr. Jobs will always be runner-up to Mr. Gates for simply copying everything he did and certainly not being better at it. (except the iPod, b/c MS did copy that, but hey, everyone needs their piece of the cake…)
I think i’ve been on this rant before on here…
I want my PC to work, I don’t want to hear that stuff won’t work on my PC b/c software hasn’t been developed for it; I don’t want to have to go to only ONE store, usually in a mall, to find all compatible software & HW; I want the GUI to be flexible, customizable and really user friendly…that doesn’t sound like Mac to me…

Similarly, I want to take this laptop I have here, I want to rip out the HDD, I want to rip out the RAM, I want to rip out the processor, I want to replace all these parts with better ones for comparitively little money, and I don’t want to have to TEAR – THE – CASE- APART – TO- DO – IT.
NOR DO I WANT TO HAVE TO BUY A WHOLE NEW MACHINE TO GET NEW HARDWARE.
Eat it, macfags.

Whoops-a-daisy
Site instability does not breed single posts.

@token2k6:
Macs had GUI first, also.

I suggest you guys watch Pirates of the Silicon Valley, if you haven’t already. Superb movie for geeks.
January 2, 2009 at 2:33 pm
@RSIxidor: That does not mean it is not a bad GUI.
January 2, 2009 at 3:26 pm
I own both Mac and PC.
PC is for writing papers and playing games.
Mac is for editing movies and browsing the internet.
Both rule. I have Windows XP so my PC doesn’t suck.
January 2, 2009 at 3:44 pm
just flush that piece of shit already…..
January 2, 2009 at 8:12 pm
@LukeV1-5: Replacing RAM and HDD is easy on a Mac, I’ve done both on my iBook. I call bullshit on your claim on replacing the processor on a laptop without tearing apart the case. Pics or it didn’t happen.
January 2, 2009 at 8:54 pm
Well. I don’t want to turn off my laptop right now. And I don’t want to expose my processor.
BUT
My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1300. It is old, but it’s still relatively good, it’s as fast and as powerful as a model this old can be, because I can do things like this to it.
support.euro.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins1300/en/sm/thermal.htm#wp1084976
support.euro.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins1300/en/sm/cpu.htm#wp1084976
I.e., I can easily access the processor, and I can replace it with relative ease.
Dells are fucking made to be messed with.

@LukeV1-5: Until the battery bursts into flame and explodes…
January 3, 2009 at 11:06 am
That’s on later models. I haven’t replaced the battery on his yet, and I still get about 3 hours of solid working.
