so many comments to make…
1) that is so sad, may Bastet confine the souls of the cat traders to eternal damnation in the litter box of the afterlife
2) lol at the lolcat reference
3) I LOVE the taste of pussy, just keep the fur at a reasonable level please.

Farming carnivores is inefficient, but other than that, what’s wrong with using cats for meat and fur?

@reboot: Cuz they’re cute… we only feel guilty about eating cute things.

Cat just not a good meat source. Tried it in Singapore. Very tough, stringy(like chewing flavored gristle) and very dry. could have been the way it was prepared, but the Grilled Rat on a stick was better.

@reboot: I have no specific problems w/ other people/culture eating cats. It’s just hard to see them and know they’ll be someone’s meal. The really horrible thing is how they cook them sometimes, in boiling oil/water alive. ALIVE! How do you do that?

@nyokki:
Chinese people have no souls. It’s a fact.

@sylvanish: No problem with leather, but meat? Hormones, toxins, carcinogens, disease….. I’d rather eat rat.

@SumoSnipe: You don’t think those aren’t present in rats and cats too?
I think we should start prison-farms for violent offenders on life sentances; control their diets and intake at the same level we do with factory farmed chickens and other animals, long enough to clean them out inside, then harvest them.
I’m actually not sure if I’m serious or not.
