reflecting on the retaking of Osgiliath in the
extended edition.

Taking place in the reclaimed city of Osgiliath.
Captain Faramir had lost the city to Orcish invasion from moria, having too few men to stage
a proper defense.
Denethor then gave a legion of soldiers to his favored son Borimir, who retook the city.
This picture was during their celebration.
Borimir left directly from Osgiliath to the meeting of Elrond in Rivendell…. Or something like that, I wasn’t really paying attention.
