It’s a chocolate candy with a toy/suprise inside that yellow plastic shell. He’s pointing out the shitty toy, likely due to the economic crisis :P

here’s my guess – OP was trying to say that the bad economy has hit beloved toymaker “Kinder”, whose pictured toy has been downsized to the point it is almost ridiculous.

clearly hit “submit” about 60 seconds too late

      It’s not even Kinder

It’s not Kinder no. Just a cheap copy.

I still wonder if the chocolate is as good. Since I don’t live in Germany anymore, I don’t think I’d pass up a cheap copy.

@Corman: @dieAntagonista: It can’t be, they always use their logo, I’ve seen different packaging but never without the logo. @Kurtt: I found “cheap chocolate egg with toy” at Lidl once, it was a weird chocolate (really weird mockolate maybe?) with stripes of white chocolate (or something!). Didn’t even have to separate layers like Kinder. So no, skip the cheap stuff. The animal toys inside were the strangest I’ve seen. Not sure if I got them here, I could post a picture?
