  1. He looks the part.

Hope he won’t be thrown out with the bath water with the next film.

  2. Personally, I’d think Jack Black would make a better Superman.

  3. Who? It appears I don’t know anyone anymore.

  4. Meh.

Looks a bit like Tom Cruise.

    Do not want.

  5. @outofocus: Same problem I have w/ Christian Bale.

  6. @nyokki: Yeah, Christian Bale is a good actor but his cuteness was used up in his childhood.

  7. Nonsense, you’re all nuts.

  8. @Avias:
Christopher Reeves was better? How? Yes, The original movies were classics, But when you were 6 you were easier to please.

Go rent Superman 3 and then the new Superman with Brandon Routh, watch them back to back, and I dare you to repeat that statement.

Christopher Reeves was a great choice for the part 30 years ago, but how in hell can you possibly compare or correlate such differing creations with any absolution.

Why does everyone feel they need to compare every incarnation with the next and so on?
Is it not enough just to enjoy or hate things for their own qualities? Or have we decided to just roll around in a ball of preconception, never again viewing with unclouded eyes?
