Sounds like what we tell our team lead everyday. How can you be the team lead of a technical team and not crap about computers? I don’t get it.

@camusapprentice: Dunno, but it’s old.

@camusapprentice: Hard to tell, it’s pretty messed up. I would guess it’s a BSA, late 60s Lightning I think, or possibly a Thunderbolt.

In fact, he does know what he’s doing. It’s called Ghost Riding His Whip.

@JamesTuskGeorge: I was thinking BSA too, doesn’t look like a Triumph (though the are similarities).

I don’t think Triumph ever had an oval engine cover, although that doens’t look exactly like the BSA ones, maybe it’s one of the obscure makes, I’m pretty sure it’s not Norton, Ariel, Matchless or Enfield.
It’s similar to the AJS Model 16, but that had a single exhaust, this has two.
I think it’s a lightning, until I visit my parents again and check their classic bike books.

It’s not a BSA, it’s a flat head 2 cylinder. Hubby is thinking a zundapp.

That’s a very god shout, and would be suitably obscure, but I can’t find the model, and the engine case still doesn’t look right. BSA is flat heads, the Bantam was one, but I’ve gone off the idea of them anyhow, there’s something odd about the rear swing arm.

Aaaaah! I thought I had it then with an MZ Augusta, but no.

Curiouser and curiouser. I don’t know if it’s more fun ’cause the pic is so bad…or not.
