Who says he is abominable?
Maybe someone said “Adorable” and it was all blizzardy so they thought he said abominable but he really actually liked the snowman in all of its flakey politeness… Much like a leper.

I have actually seen this movie, I watched on late night TCM and it’s actually kind of creeping and haunting. Grand Moff Tarkin this isn’t!
