The first half was great. The second half was just running and screaming.

I don’t understand why so many people dislike this movie. I thought it was great. Especially the message of this movie.

@dieAntagonista: The message of this particular movie or of the whole halloween franchise? :)

@Phyreblade: Not too impressed with Hallowe’en, but yes I meant the message of this particular movie, it was quite special. To me at least, because I’m a determinist. (:

You know the whole thing, how he was influenced by his environment, which made him become this monster even though he’s really innocent. And then when he’s finally willing to put aside the mask, she(she represented society) still can’t see the true person behind the mask, only the monster. The monster which was created by that very society. It’s a cycle really.

@dieAntagonista: Ah… Interesting. I wouldn’t call myself a determinist, though I do believe that nurture does play the largest determining role in what a person becomes.

I must confess that I haven’t had a chance to see this movie in it’s entirety yet, only bits and pieces here and there, but I think I will have to find some time to sit down and watch it now…
