ugh. There’s people who live down the road from me who always put up three crosses, each about 10 feet tall.

Social connotation aside, that looks kinda cool.

@dieAntagonista: are you kidding?

@anto123: She’s not American, if I recall correctly.
@dieAntagonista: The KKK, a major racist group in the U.S., uses burning crosses as their symbol. As a fear tactic, they would be stuck in people’s lawns.

I can see where dieAntagonista is coming from, it’s not a “burning cross”, it’s just a cross with lights on. If the light’s were flame shaped/coloured I could see the problem. But as it is it isn’t racist, just really lame.

@Paul_Is_Drunk: Oh no. Argh yea, I should be aware of this still, I mean it’s history right.
But as colonel said, those are just lights. And people put it in their own gardens so..

There is this house down the street a bit that has one of these in their front yard. It’s covered in Christmas lights right now. I’ll try and snag a picture of it. Also, there is this 3×10 banner above the garage door saying “are you for jesus or against” with some other rubbish.
