  2. I wonder where. I grew up on an island and never had such a difference between high and low tides. Much nicer boardwalk than where I grew up.

  3. @nyokki: Only islands on east or west facing coasts near large continents would see large tides when the moon pulls the water up the continental coast.

  4. I don’t think is on a coast at all. I’m guessing is one of the lake resort on the Great Salt Lake or the Salton Sea, where the lake has dried up and it the resort is left high and dry.

  6. I’m guessing it’s in England,tidle differences can be pretty big there.
    The largest i’ve seen was in France, 12 metres, it’s incredible what landmass emerges.

  7. it reminds me of a movie with robbin williams of a book by the same guy of tuesdays with morris….the movie and book are called the five people you’ll meet in heaven… there’s a sceen with that same boardwalk
