I don’t know where this is, but I’d've loved to have been able to take this pic.

  1. I don’t like hdr shots so much, they all looks too similar to each other. Anyway, this scenery is nice.

  2. I agree with copypaiste…the HDR thing got way out of hand about 3 trillion images ago. It’s neat when necessary (dynamic range is just too much for the camera to handle), but when they look cartoony…meh.

  3. I like how it looks real in the foreground and then turns into a Lord of the Rings-esque painting in the background. :D

  4. chemtrails always ruin good sky pictures for me

    /batshit crazy

  5. @jascas_: I agree. HDR is kewl when used in a subtle fashion but when it’s done all extreme it just doesn’t look good.

I’ve been trying to learn how to do HDR effectively… I’m just lazy and haven’t tried very many times.

  6. @outofocus It’s all about keeping it subtle and keeping light smoothing high which helps minimize the halo effect that screams HDR.

From the detail this pic may have been HDR or just a really good camera. Hard to tell, which is the point. www.myconfinedspace.com/?attachment_id=56322
