@Billy Manic: That’s actually a pretty good idea…I bet nobody would have thought of that! I’m sure there is a way and it would have great uses. They have those bathrooms that tint the glass electronically so I assume it wouldn’t be that hard.

@Pants: Not at all. If you put a mirror into a monitor when it’s not in use, perhaps if you shut it off or when it’s in sleep mode, you have combined 2 things into one…

On a related note, taking a picture of the sun does not give you a nifty free light source.
Scanning a mirror = divide by zero.
