Not stupid. Confusing. Haven't really evolved alongside wind farms for long, ya know. Plus don't use 'smart' or 'dumb' when describing animals. Some sort of system that let's such as exploratory robots refuel themselves on the go. Also, those birds and bats that get harmed by these things are the dumb ones. The smart ones know enough not to avoid them. Even with our influence, natural selection does continue to play out. If only it still did amongst humans. Sigh...
