      As for the terrorists, it wasn’t the first time that a non existing threat was created in order to have a reason to go to war, so? The fact that deceiving people do shit like that has nothing to do with the people who are ready to give their lives up for what they love and care for.

    7. cost is associated with scarcity. there is no scarcity of freedom, just scarcity of people willing to use it. freedom is an intangible, and cannot be taken away. it’s the people who exorcise their freedom that make subsequent citizens in their respective countries believe they are just the same as their forefathers, and talk about what the originals sacrificed.

    8. ~Nationalism~ isn’t free. There is no such thing as this lofty mythical concept of ‘freedom’ anywhere in the world. If we were actually “free” we wouldn’t be contained and controlled by someone elses made-up laws. And even without those we would still be subject to the laws of nature. We are slaves even to our own bodies and their whips of hunger and hormones.

      Death and war is a part of life just like sex and breath but trying to gloss over the brutal nature of our world by hiding behind non-existent philosophical concepts like justice and freedom is ignorant and ridiculously childish. Silly apes.

      I like sex and I like war, these are the heights of life at every level of creature.

      My uncle, a Vietnam vet, described his experiences as feeling like a return to raw animal existence. He never felt so alive and so aware of his flesh and his soul than he did when on the battlefield or in bed with his wife. He said nothing was further from the truth when politicians threw empty ‘power-words’ like freedom around. Propaganda and mind control is all it was.

      I mean, they barely even did anything for me, my country was never at threat.

      But even I respect these guys alot, because they were fucking badass.

      They were fighting for freedom. The freedoms you enjoy, such as the freedom to rant about old wars and older men from the soapbox of your couch, until your stomach eclipses your greasy monitor and you have run out of Cheetos.

      And they fought for it through years of sleeping in pools of mud, and eating beside rotting corpses.

      A guy like you would crack after a week, or after your first corpse, but these guys kept going until the war was over.

      What I mean to say is, fucking wow.
