Its all sorts of tunnels. Modern Marvels on the history channel did an hour long show on them. Many of them are open to the public now, as a war memorial. Many of the tunnels were also booby-trapped in order to maim people. A group of soldiers called tunnel rats would go in and clear these tunnels, and raid what was in them.

it could be both, however, tunnel entrances typically have a larger entrance with a bit of a slope, but that doesnt mean this one isn’t.

I agree, these are neat, but I would hate to be trapped in any way…you can’t move…it’s the worst…I mean think of the willy wanka kid that got sucked in the tube, that’s the worst way to die since you can’t do anything, it’s terrible.
