For all their gangster movie use, Thompsons didn’t see much use in the gang violence of the roaring 20s.

@mintymadness: if only the bar had a bigger clip size instead of 20 that would be soo awesome, but mosin is a personal fav, russian sniper .. it was the best in there time but the thompson is a monster not the double barrel clip (mafia type) but the ones used for invasions, thats a gun u can depend your life on,but the recoil is a little bit eh…. but rambo on it lol would be hectic

@WistfulD: Ever heard of the Chicago Typewriter? Yeah, Thompson submachine gun used very often in Chicago gang violence of the roaring 20s.

Depends on point of view. Not exactly the constant shootouts between cops and gangsters as depicted on the big screen. Most gang activity occurred without a bullet being fired.
