I saw Star Wars in the theater when it first came out. Blew my mind! That combined with watching Doctor Who, turned me into a computer geek. Thank you young George Lucas. Fuck you old George Lucas!

Forget the first ten years. I am of the opinion that Star Wars the movie is best thought of as a stand alone movie. By that measure it is a downright great movie. As a three part series it is enjoyable, and as a six part horrible, but as a stand alone movie it is great.
