Did you know Europeans invented this hair style long before the natives? It gain the nickname because at the time it was believed this was the prominent hairstyle of the Mohawk people. But it was actually the Wyandot people that wore the style. And the Wyandot’s “capital city” was on the land I grew up on. Don’t worry though, we Europeans have kicked them out made much better use of the land.
