Well, after studying the architecture, uniforms, insignia, weapons, their faces/skin color, the sign in the background I’m going to say with 98% certainty that they are Japanese Special Forces circa 2004. Around early June, about 8-8:30 a.m., based on the height of the grass around the paving stones and their shadows.
Sorry I couldn’t be more exact with my estimate.

There’s no way that they’re Japanese. The second guy from the left, his hair appears to be blond.
Yeah I think it must be a European country. I don’t know about Romania though, they look well-fed.

Funny.. but wrong.

The rifles are a FAL variant (Belgium) that should have been discontinued by the late 90’s. I do not believe it was ever used by China or Japan. Much of centrak Europe, Argentina, Malaysia, and Cambodia issued it.

The building facade, no parking sign, and bollards look European.

The guys face does not look Asian, but his eyes … maybe French.

I would guess Wallonia (French Belgium) and NATO.

Ok I think I got it. The tags for the photo say eurotrip2008, and then vienna2008.
Which means they’re from where I’m from.
They’re Austrian.

The rifles are FAL variants. Pretty every non commie country in the world has used them. But the flash hider (the “stoll” flash suppressor) on the rifles are Austrian, which would make the rifles the STG58 version of the FAL. Not to sure if the STG 58 ever used a wooden stock though.
