You don’t need to buy land in Liziana. Mud + boards + swamp and you got your self a purdy sturdy piece of real estate to build your castle on, so long as you don’t mind the insects.

Now building that castle, other matter altogether. You’re gonna be out of boards and plants at this point, so consider weaving some vines with twigs as supports, and filling the gaps with mud. Once that dries you’ll be livin like a king.

Yeah that 3k figure is an intentional exaggeration. L.A. gardeners don’t make that much, and even if they did, it wouldn’t be enough to buy a home with.

My point was to illustrate that income figures for borrowers were often falsified. I’m assuming you guys got that point.

$3k p/m is enough to pay a mortgage for a modest house in a rural area. In most cities in California and certainly any place near NYC would be out of reach, but here in WV it’s enough. I’m w/in an hour of both DC and Baltimore and you can still get a 3 bedroom ranch for under $120k here.
