these books were awesome… except the show sucked.

awesome series, even when translated.

Best ever. Really ahead of its time, too. Pick one up sometime, read it and think “This was written for a fifth grader.”

Freaking awesome series! At least, until the last couple of books. Then it just got lame really fast. Anyone else notice that this woman’s book series all have unsatisfactory endings? (Animorphs, Everworld, that one trippy one about the world ending)

You think the show was bad? Look at the toys!

I read every one of these books! I never watched the show so I dunno about that, but the books were kickass.

@RSIxidor:
I owned two of those (the Visser 3 ones). At age 9 I thought they were pretty goddamn sweet.

This came out a little after Goosebumps, right? I think I read a couple of these.

Fifth grade? Really? I was reading stuff like Starship Troopers and Ender’s Game by fifth grade. Sometimes I wonder if there really is a conspiracy to dumb people down.

My god Ender’s Game was so awesome! I should read that again!

I listened to the Enders Game Audio book. The dude doing the reading was a droning baritone radio announcer, so he may have ruined it for me.
Perhaps I’ll read it in book form.

I loved Animporphs. I still own a good half of the series. I made a Hork Bajir in Spore just the other day. =)

Holy freakin’ Nostalgia. I never read Animorphs, I went straight from Goosebumps to weird freaky paranormal books and Paul Zindel’s later works.

I read animorphs when I ran out of crap to read. A couple of my friends were real fans of it, it was okay, but I was into TF Geekdom ( still am ) at that time.
I still remember the emo guy that got stuck as a bird.

Yeah, look at the link I posted. He’s the only one that didn’t have two animals. HA! Loser!
