@Trik. Never believe a press release. Ever. P.R.=B.S. If she’s so squeaky clean, why is she, (along with many of Alaska’s politicians, bureaucrats and big businessmen), under investigation for corruption?

@Paul. I never said I thought it would work. It just makes sense in McSenile’s mind that the American voters are dumb enough to fall for it. He’s shown his contempt for the average American enough times, why should this be any different?

I didn’t even know that Big Brother was still on the air, but I just read a stat that more people watched Obamba’s speech, 38 million viewers, than watched the American Idol finals. Saying that the American people aren’t paying attention to politics is just not true.

If McCain thinks this will help him win Hillary voters, he’s lost it. The only thing she has in common with Hillary is ovaries. Its not like all of those feminists are going to cross parties lines just because he has a trailer-park princess on as a VP. The job of a running mate is to be an attack-dog and Palin is going to stomped on by Biden, when it comes to that.
This is a different game than 2000 or 2004. If Obama can pick up a few couple of states like Colorado, New Mexico and Iowa; then he can afford to lose in Ohio and Florida.

We can call it all we want. Odds are McCain and company will pull another 2000 vote steal out of their worn out bag of tricks and the point of who should have one will be moot. The dems will cry foul, but since Gore already screeched like a schoolgirl no one will care this time. It’ll get shoved into committees/courts/investigations for awhile and McCain will go to war with Iran or Russia and we’ll all have something else to worry about. Plus the new Big Brother will come out, Britney/Paris/Hogan family will do something stupid, and the newest game console/game will debute and we’ll be nicely distracted. All the upjumped monkeys will continue to screw up this ball of dirt and Tiki will get drunk and post some more pics.

Yay!

P.S. Yes she’s under investigation, but so are most of the officials in Alaska, so whoop de doo!

You guys are fucking idiots… this is a panic move. John McCain’s scared shitless by Obama and is throwing a Hail Mary pass. She’s not even remotely vetted on the national stage and god only knows how and when she’ll fuck up. I just listened to her speak and her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

And yes, you’re right… McCain just totally gave up on the entire experience issue, which was one of Obama’s very few weak points.

I don’t know if any of you MCS viewers can definitively call the election either way right now, smart as we know you all are. My husband sez Obama’s got it sewed up, but what about all those voters who voted for Bush 4 yrs. ago. They gonna go to the Obama camp? No. They’re gonna vote McCain. So it’s gonna be close.

Palin IS cute. Former beauty contestant.

Also pro-life. Which neither Lieberman nor Ridge (two better-known possible VP candidates) were. Don’t discount the “social issue” vote. McCain isn’t.
