Yeah, because he’s not had a republican congress to back him for half of it, making him largely castrated. Also he’s spent so much money on Iraq he has nothing else to waste it on. Oh also there’s the little matter of….

I find that everyone is overlooking Bush’s foreign policy lately in favour of looking at the crippling recession that he’s brought on. If not the worst in decades, it’s been the most persistent, unpredictable and dramatic, and has only gotten worse his second term. But I suppose you’ll find a way to not connect that to wasteful Republican spending and big-government policies with no long or short term economic benefits.

You’re talking about emotions and presenting people with facts about what Bush did right. But what did he do right? The economy is a mess, and while the rest of the world is crawling out of the recession, America is sinking deeper. Currency is out of control. Even if you agree with the war in Iraq, you have to admit that it wasn’t handled incorrectly in some way, for it not to have been resolved by 2005 as predicted.

Where has Bush succeeded, exactly?

I hate it when people claim Bush’s 8 years were a mess when in reality his 2nd term was pretty decent. And foreign policy isn’t everything, but people tend to overlook that too. It’s a shame how the democrats use emotions over logic to control people, to the point where even if you point out facts, the hatred for a person is so big already they can’t bring them selves to accept he wasn’t so bad after all.
