I snapped this when I was in Beijing. I have no idea what the deal is with her arms. Protective gloves?

Bionics. Damn those Asians and their technology!
She is obviously an Xbox fan. ‘Metal Arms’ ftw!
(Um, calm down sir, she is just a robot frum teh internets)
We can rebuild her . . . We have the technology . . . The six-million yen woman!
Knowing China’s notorious lack of worker protection laws, she’s probably a vat-stirrer at a mercury production plant.
^^ I lold @ deuce
mmmm…mercury… sweetest of the transition metals
She probably does something like this for a living:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluing_(steel)
Without any gloves.
Bluing *snicker*
Also, why didn’t you just link to the page itself instead of the disambiguation?
Because I’m disambiguous, motherfucker.
Sorry. Actually, I did, but it didn’t parse the link.
@suicydking
You missed a perfect joke about about how she blue herself.
No I didn’t, reboot. I held that door open for you, because I care about you. You blew it though.
I snickered you fools!
I see what happened now. Damn that Parsing, damn him!
This thread has made me happy.
So does anybody know what’s up with her arms?
Yes, apparently she blue herself.
god, no!!! i lol’d
Wow. See? This is a fine example of that comment threads should be on this site.
Peace and <3, not flame and hatred!
I recognize this as body painting. It is a popular thing in southeast asian countries. (NSFW) www.cocoa-soft.net/messy/index.shtml
Oh, no, no. I’m not in the group yet. No, I’m afraid I just blue myself.
But can she bend her arms?
@Korinthian
I tried to figure that out… I really did. Two years later… I still don’t know.
It’s that T-1000 chick without her makeup on.
The chick was a T-X. The T-1000 was a dude, or in this case Robert Patrick.
@RSI I do appreciate a little Arrested Development love from time to time, thank you for that.
Ok…it’s not body paint. It’s not a prosthesis. Many Asian cultures… Chinese, Indian and the whole gamut in between…….. see the tone of skin… not colour as indicative of your station in life. Simplistically put.. .you must be a labourer if you have sun bronzed skin. If you have this alabaster look, then you must be upper class because you dont have to go out. Finely manicured nails and bound feet are another social mark.
Today… generally, sun weathered skin is NOT considered beautiful. So.. she’s wearing lycra ‘leg warmers’ type things.
🙂
