It’s no coincidence that the first Irish President and Italian congressperson were both Democrats. I’m not a closet homosexual. It’s also funny how people still use homosexuality as an insult. That’s the only thing I disagree with republicans on is gay marriage, that and the fact that I don’t believe in god.
I always thought it was the blatant intolerance and voracious obsess/repress philosophy that drew people to the republican party. if not, what is it about them that appeals to you, Exacerbate?
I don’t know. I was raised in a hardcore catholic/liberal household. I just seem to agree with them on almost everything (Against abortion(with reasonable exceptions), pro-offshore drilling, pro-gun, smaller government, tax cuts, pro-death penalty, and anti-welfare for a few off the top of my head. I haven’t seen the “blatant intolerance” an “voracious obsess/repress philosophy” that you speak of.
I don’t understand how you could be a modern-day liberal and still believe in God. Then again, you said that you don’t believe in God.
Also, liberals back then (FDR, Truman, JFK) were a different breed than today’s wimpy liberals (Obama, Kerry, Gore).
Fair enough, I also support smaller government and tax cuts. However, there has been a huge increase in the size of our government, and tax cuts aren’t supposed to happen during a war. That’s how you default on the national debt for the first time in our nation’s history, and have record levels of deficit spending. If you want tax cuts, reduce the bloated, circle-jerk of a defense budget instead of finding excuses for not feeding people or giving them health care.
As for obsess/repress… how many conservative politicians do you think are voting for homophobic legislation by day and shoe-tapping in bathroom stalls by night?
i’ve fantasized about those two doing that exact thing for sooooo long….
except, i fantasize they are locked in a in a tiny cell in a maximum security PRISON when they’re doing it.

Hate from republicans? The reason why they have the latino votes is for amnesty and making the lives for illegals a lot easier. Democrats are much more strict about immigration, historically speaking.

I could be wrong. Maybe it was unintended and he’s hiding out of shame. From what I’ve seen, as one of the people on MCS he stalks, I don’t think that would deter him at all. Which brings me back to the belief that it was intended.
