i had a strip of hulk beating thor, then a cover of iron man standing over a defeated hulk, both preceeding this – thor manhandling iron man. it’s an attempt to debate the strongest hero on earth.

stupid marvel says hulk is the strongest, and can always get stronger if he gets angrier. i still say thor wins, cuz he’s the perfect race. and by that i mean Norwegian.

He beat Iron Man because everyone wanted Iron Man beat after all the shit he’s pulled. Also they wanted to boost Thor’s (and his new comic book’s)ratings. If it was a serious fight it would have taken longer than two panels. Oh, and norwegians don’t count as Vikings.

Thor was born of Gaea in a cave in Norway. When banished from Asgard, that’s where his father, Odin, hid his identity and Mjolnir, his Hammer.

He was worshipped by Vikings, not actually one.

suicidking: a god in the marvel universe is not the same as the image of gods are in the real world. Almost ever superhero has the power equaling greek or norse gods for instance. I guess Thor can revive, but what superguy can’t do that nowadays?

Hmm…I seem to recall Colossus kicking the shit out of Thor and Iron Man at the same time in the Ultimate Universe…and Hulk knocked Thor around like a rag doll.

krjac82 is actually reinforcing my point. There’s inconsistencies: if Hulk can beat Thor, Iron Man can beat Hulk, and Thor can beat Iron Man, who is the most powerful, all strengths considered?

The Hulk can barely lift Moljnir off the ground, and Thor could beat Colossus to death with it if he wanted to.

This battle will never be won, cuz Marvel will never settle it. They will continue to say that the Hulk can reach strengths unknown when he gets angry enough. So he can just get stronger than anyone he’s fighting? boring.

well, he lifted it anyway, cuz he was so angry Thor was smacking him in the face with it. he knocked Thor away and the hammer fell and he pulled it off the ground. somehow his rage made him so strong he broke some kind of law of the universe about immortals and mortals and that is why i hate him. he’s no hero, just a raging testicle.

Hulk is better being an anti-hero, imho. “Raging Testicle” is an awesome villain’s name btw, even though I don’t want to think about what kind of powers he would have.

Rock, paper, scissors is a bad anology and only fits in pokÃƒÂ©mon. The winner is decided by what propagates the plot. If the story requires Squirrel-girl beating Galactus or Spider-man beating Fire Lord, then that will happen. Anyone can beat anyone, forget about who is stronger.

the the way they (the authors) set it up was very similar to the rock paper scissors theory.
