I’ve watched South Park from episode one and Dude, that’s messed up.
July 31, 2008 at 12:12 pm
funny they look like homo’s but they still make me laugh. Haven’t they made some new “thing” lately ?
July 31, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Yep… they ate a bunch of spoiled mexican food, got a bunch of sheets of paper, shat out the bloody mess all over them, then submitted them as a new show to Comedy Central called “Kenny vs. Spenny”.
Comedy Central, of course, approved it immediately.
July 31, 2008 at 12:38 pm
deuce, Kenny v Spenny was actually around for a few years before Matt & Trey got a hold of it.

these guys are some of the smartest men i know of

suicyd: ah, ok… my respect for them has gone up a point or so knowing they’re not responsible for the show’s existence. However, having anything to do with them still loses them some several dozen points.

three absolute geniuses…

One genius.
It doesn’t take high intellect to get a bunch of construction paper, cut out cartoon characters, and stop motion animate them with fart jokes.
It’s quite profitable, but doesn’t require high intelligence to accomplish.

@ deuce:
I see where you’re coming from. Matt & Trey just realized that the Canadians thought KvS was the greatest thing since the McKenzie Brothers so they brought it to Comedy Central.
Honestly, there is nothing else good on at that time of night anyway. Aside from the Boondocks, Adult Swim shit the bed. Who wants to watch a bunch of no talent asshats dance around in front of greenscreen for 15 minutes at a time? I appreciate the ‘Classic Friday’ thing they’re doing now, but I think they should make it “idiotic new shit” Friday and roll classic Adult Swim the whole rest of the week.
Sorry for my tirade.
July 31, 2008 at 2:51 pm
@ Kaze – OK buddy, I’m sure your shit will be just as funny.
July 31, 2008 at 3:06 pm
All of you have at least a single quote from South Park and possibly from Team America (and hopefully from Orgasmo). These guys are smart, and their smarts made them mad cash. Where is your mad cash?
July 31, 2008 at 3:36 pm
@ kaze
if you actually watched a show and were unbiased
youd see that a hugely vast majority of the episodes have a message and good meaning and they take on RL issues. like terry schivo (the vegitable girl) and the terrorist thing (imagination land trilogy)
and alot of the jokes are smart and well thought out. wheres your innovative hilairious show?
and so what they use construction paper?
i dont see anyone else using that idea.
and if it made you mad cash you wouldnt be bitching about the animation.
DONE
July 31, 2008 at 3:37 pm
i agree w storm
July 31, 2008 at 3:43 pm
at Kaze: if you only knew the level South Park operates at, it’s quite enlightening. S.P. is a grotesque but is an all encompassing Pop Occulture.
July 31, 2008 at 6:13 pm
If everyone would stop bashing me for a moment, I’ll explain.
You’d notice I’m referring to the actual labor involved in creating an episode. Not taking a jab at their “pop culture” this, or “innovative drawing” that.
A writer is a writer. And from what I know of the writing world, taking on real issues for satire is the lazy man’s thought process.
I don’t see how anything pivotal to pop culture can have THAT much feces
July 31, 2008 at 6:19 pm
Say what you want, but you can’t deny their influence on popular culture. And if you think South Park’s creators are dumb, you should watch that “Family Guy” show.
July 31, 2008 at 6:26 pm
i freakin love matt & trey. yeah sure south park is riddled with fart jokes, but that’s just to grab your attention. they have awesome fucking morals of the story every time.
they don’t make their shows like this:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERbvKrH-GC4
because nobody would watch.
and btw yes that was animated by them.
July 31, 2008 at 6:27 pm
er, i mean produced.
July 31, 2008 at 7:09 pm
Smart, yes.
Funny, yes.
However, they look like complete douches.

Is that all you see when you watch South Park?
