Chinooks can outrun an Apache? Wow… I would never have guessed…

Chinooks = Shit hooks as they’re called. XD Though they’re not shit, but do need an awful amount of maintenance, but then again, they’re used a lot and do the hardest work. They can outrun an Apache because they can lift and tow lots and lots of heavy equipment which equals tons and tons of engine. So when those suckers are empty they go like stink. 196 mph to be exact.

Fastest rotary winged craft in the US rotation. That being said, I would not fly in one again after doing an insertion in the british Merlin. Much smoother ride. Any bird that the pilots only get worried when it STOPS leaking…I guess I’d rather walk.
