  6. that looks like a C5A, which is giagantic, so it’s a long way away, and obviously taking off. that must be one LONG runway…

  7. Actually it’s a C17 Globemaster III, and given that the flaps have been extended the aircraft is coming in for a landing. It is a short runway takeoff and landing capable aircraft and is the primary workhorse for heavy long range airlift for the U.S. military.

  8. It’s actually a C-17 Globemaster III. They can land on runways as short as 3,500 feet. The C-5A Galaxy on the other hand requires 8,300 feet to take off and 4,900 feet to land fully loaded.
