Wrong, every atom WAS part of a star. It’s not the material that makes things unique, it’s the configuration of that matter within space.
The difference between something alive and somethign dead is the same as the difference between water and ice – same stuff just arranged differently and therefore has different properties.
If there is room for free will it is in configuration, not the material itself.
There is still no soul tho. We don’t believe in ghosts but we believe in souls?
