vonDread, these bands may seem more severe and shit, and the music may well be more interesting, but no one shits on DFs skills. Hanneman and King can’t tandem as fast and you know it. I’m sure they are quite impressed with DF, even if they do sound like some mutant metal affectation of Journey. If you absolutely require your speed to be all dark and brooding just skip straight to Immortal and never look back.

DF is also a hair band, and if you ain’t down with hair, what kind of metalhead are you?

Jesus that’s horrible. What a bunch of overrated fags these guys are. Hibria, Lost Horizon, Blind Guardian, Gamma Ray, Grave Digger, Iron Savior, Metalium, Paragon, Rebellion, Running Wild, Sabaton, and Stormwarrior are all power/speed bands that shit all over Dragonforce.

@Dynamole: You’re assuming I have some kind of aspie hair metal esoteric knowledge. To tell you the truth all metal/classic rock/indie sounds exactly the same to me: Like the music you hear in waiting rooms. Fuck, I never even heard of Dragonforce until I went to /mu/ out of boredom a few weeks ago. The only reason I know they’re Metal is that they are otherkin which in rock speak apparently makes them Metal.

To be honest I don’t know why people bother to argue about metal. Being a metalhead of any kind makes you look like you’re tipping the far end of the Autism spectrum, and the “I can organize my music into a million sub-sub-sub-genres” obsessive correcting only drives that point home.

Have you ever noticed that metalheads are all over the internets but you never meet one in real life? That’s because they are all 400lb shut ins and roughly the Music equivalent to Paultards or Atheism/Religion super-debaters.

you and AAKP3NI5 are dissing guitar players so good, average players couldn’t make it halfway through any of their songs before their hands cramp up completely, even if they could figure out the tabs. they play metal guiar all day and then go to sleep and dream about it.

Dragonforce is awesome. Their older stuff was better, much like with other metal bands.
