  1. EGADS! A TELEGRAPHONE?! Good thing gas is too expensive to run the fucker. Since I’m safe, I’ll pick up a phosphate and head to the speakeasy. I got a mimeograph that Ethel takes the stage at nine.

  3. So lemme get this straight… it shoots stuff from its penis that if it gets in your eye, it will make you cry? I don’t know, sounds like science-fiction to me.

  6. I like how they put little knobs on the “radio control”. Did they imagine there would be someone climbing in and tuning it regularly? What if it happened to drift off frequency and pick up a radio broadcast of the Lindy Hop? Think of the carnage…

  8. Wow, that looks like some of my drawings from when I was 8. Except mine collected garbage and made the sound “comp comp”. I couldn’t spell very well.

Knowing you, I’m surprised you didn’t mention anything about the noxious fumes escaping from the rear.

  10. Ah! Glad to see my work gets around. The source of this is at davidszondy.com/future/robot/robocop.htm. It’s quite real, but the original was badly damaged and I did the restoration on this scan. I’m quite proud of it, though the ‘A’s in the restored section are a tad pointy.
