i’m posting this for topic of discussion reasons. the topic “does anyone care if this guy ( M. knigt not marky mark) makes another movie ever again?
after i saw “Lady in Water” i wanted to sue someone for wasting 2 hours of my life where i could of been doing something a little more interesting, like hitting myself in the face with a hammer. who’s producing this crap, what prevents them from learning a lesson?

So are you saying we should all watch Lady in the Water so that we have a full appreciation of the quality of each and every other movie we watch for the rest of our lives? I personally thought Mission to Mars did that to me, but I haven’t seen Lady in the Water yet.

I anticipate massively depressing movie.
M Night Shablammo makes his movies in reaction to the reception of the previous one. Lady in the Water was tame and he got shit on for it. This movie is about a massive suicide epidemic and has lots of wrist slashing and other fun ways to go out.
And no twist cause people shit on him for that too.
Could be his best work since Unbreakable!

Way to ruin it Fee_Kubit. But I’ve already seen it and it sucks many cocks. So maybe ruining it was for the benefit of everyone else. Don’t see this movie please.

The only thing about movies that err me, are when their titles are in no way related to the movie in any way.
- “Batman Begins” had a title that delivered what it promised.
- “Iron Man” gets partial credit, because the first suit was probably made of iron, even though the subsequent ones werent.
- “No country for Old Man” Fails horribly, nothing about old men, let alone where their country went, or to what country they should be sent to.
Ergo: “The Happening” is a title that radiates epic failproof.

@ AliceH: I’m with you 100% on that “Mission to Mars” deal; I’m still recovering from the sight of Gary Sinese’s excessive mascara!

@free_kubite
What are you basing the plant comment on?

Mission to Mars is the only movie I can recall seeing where we were commiserating with other moviegoers at the end of the movie.
And I really like Gary Sinise, so it was especially disappointing.

I know, Alice…that’s the thing. It looks like they hired a student mortician to do his makeup. I saw it in a smaller theatre in Santa Fe and afterwards a bunch of us total strangers randomly decided to go out for drinks together and try to forget what we’d just seen!

M. Knight has his good moments and bad moments. At the moment I think he’s about 50/50… So I’ll keep watching his stuff hoping he makes another good one…

For what it’s worth, “Signs” was actually pretty good in my opinion. I love Mel though, so I may be biased, but it was highly underrated in my book…

Yeah actually i think Signs was some of his better work…
