  4. of the DECLARED wars (which the last three do not count), this is missing the War of 1812 and the Mexican American War. it’s not a fail, but an incomplete.

    No, Fox News would be the people declaring events as wars. They were in fact Police Actions and not formal wars. The fact that it wasn’t an official war doesn’t make it any less tragic that our citizens died in combat.
