Hmmm… Pendleton. Not sure about that one. And Malta, you don’t need to train them. Natural Born Killers. And really you’re not supposed to handle them – all tarantulas are poisonous, but I’m sure I will every once in awhile. Here is a link to the coolest video I have seen of one eating, even though this is a Goliath Birdeater. Also, this dude’s cage is bitchin. When I build a new one I’m gonna put a buncha skulls and shit in it too. hahah.

Tarantulas are cheaper when you buy them as spiderlings because the mortality rate is higher. Not to mention that you can’t sex them until they’re older.

I have a Pink Toe Tarantula that I paid $50 for because he was almost full grown. It wasn’t until his first shedding under my care was I able to sex him. I thought he was female at first, but now I’m pretty sure he’s a he.

Tarantulas are awesome. I’d have more than one if I had more space – But I already have a cat, a betta and a Bearded Dragon, and my roomie has two cats, a hamster, two gerbils and will likely be getting a hedgehog.
