From DenverStuff.blogspot I’m new to the idea of putting tomates and pickles on a hotdog though. Normally mine get slaw, cheese, sourcrout, or just regular condiments like ketchup and the like. Any one have alternative hotdog configurations that you enjoy?

All I know, is that there is nothing that can’t be complemented with either Nacho Cheeze, or Yoohoo.

Wow that place is like 8 blocks from my apartment. Maybe I’ll have to finally try ‘em out. I hear they do a swell job.

People here in New Jersey (or Joyzee) like to put fried onions, ground beef and melted cheddar cheese on ‘em. A classic hotdog from the boardwalk is a nice way to begin your stay at the Joyzee’ shore.

I go for a hot dog, wrapped in bacon, a bit of sauted (sp?) onions, and cheese melted on top. Damn, now I’m hungry! ~ SenslessBabble.com

On the right, there – that’s a Chicago-style dog. Been around for ages. I just ate one yesterday in Chicago-Midway airport. Not bad, but the nuclear-green pickle relish (just barely visible under the hot peppers on the right side) is sort of disturbing. The one on the left is a pretty standard-issue coney dog with mustard, chili, cheese, and onions. Go find a Skyline Chili and have one, they’re frickin delicious. Don’t forget to put a truckload of hot sauce in it.
Otherwise, grilled onions and bell peppers with lots of mustard. Or chopped onions, sauerkraut, relish, mustard, a little ketchup.
The other best way to eat hot dogs is in mac and cheese, with a crap ton of ketchup on top. YES, WHITE TRASH.

I existed on hot dog burritos about ten summers ago. Burritos filled with refried bean paste and a big ol’ hot dog in the center.
Um…not by choice, btw.

Man, the shit you americans can eat. In my country we only put catchup, mustard and picked cabbages in it. And we don’t even eat hotdog for main courses.

Well also here in GA. We have a favorite that origanated here. a SCRAMBLED DOG. Place the hotdog in a long bowl the length of the hotdog then add lots of chili + onions, pickles and oyster crackers on it. then cut it up in the bowl and eat it.
