    My friend has one of the these. Its kind of fun to put it together like you’re some sort of badass hitman.
    But its only a .22, so it doesn’t really get “Fuck yeah” status.

    Not so much on the “fuck yeah”. I mean, maybe if it was “AK” and not “AR”, but personally I don’t like the latter family. By which I mean the AR-15 and its big brother the M-16.

    But you can buy them at Gander Mountain, Made by the Henry Firearms Company, the same maker of one of the early Repeating rifles from the West, like the Henry Golden Boy and the Henry Big Boy. -_^

    Its a fun gun. I wouldn’t discourage you from buying it. You can load it with CB Longs and shoot it off your front porch and no one will even notice.
    But, like JoeCrow said, its just a .22, whole thing is made of aluminum, it got terrible accuracy and some models tend to jam a bit much. Nothing to get excited over.

    Who cares if it’s a plastic .22? I’d get one purely for the kick of it. I don’t think anyone here has any great expectations of it’s abilities beyond the novelty of it’s design. Which I, for one, would like to see more of, thank you very much…

    The Ar-7 is a bad ass little rifle. Eugene Stoner (the guy that did up the M-16) designed it for downed pilots as a survival rifle.

    Points Made, The Noevelty of it, As all noevelties do, will fade. As for the price, Henry Arms lists it for about $224. If I were shot down, I’d much prefer an Mp7, (Anyone seen “Stealth”?)

    It wasn’t designed to shoot bad guys with. It was designed to be light to carry and to keep your stomach full. I wouldn’t want to eat a rabbit that was shot with an MP7.

    I own one, its ok for backpacking or long treks at the family ranch. Mine has seen a lot of use, have to be careful not to lose the magazine(retaining spring wore out) takes 2 rounds to resight every time I re-assemble it. fun, check your local shops, they might have a decent one in on trade…
