   She’s looking at a gun in this frame, but in her crazy lil’ fucked-up mind, it’s just as harmless as a stick while it’s lying there. She picks it up, and only when it’s in someone else’s hands does she realize it’s an instrument of dangermurder.

   It’s not from any film. Its from the final episode of the series Firefly, titled “Objects in Space.” Short story is, mercenary gets on the ship lookin for River and Simon, threatens Kaylee with rape, beats Book up as if he were a soldier, has long-winded speeches about exsistentialism, River melds with the ship, and fires bad guy into space. The series ended with him floating through space, saying something along the lines of “Well, here I am.”
